Physical Reaction - Meaning and Correct Usage Physical Reaction - Correct Meaning aur Usage

PR

Students sometimes use the term physical reaction, but in Class 10 Science the more correct term is usually physical change.

A physical change means the substance changes its state, size, shape or appearance, but no new substance is formed. For example, melting ice, boiling water and cutting paper are physical changes.

Why Not Reaction?

The word reaction is generally used when substances interact to form new substances. That is why chemical reaction is a standard term. Physical reaction is not commonly used in NCERT language for Class 10 chemistry.

Simple Rule

If no new substance is formed, call it a physical change. If a new substance is formed, call it a chemical change or chemical reaction.

Students kai baar physical reaction word use karte hain, lekin Class 10 Science me zyada correct term physical change hai.

Physical change me substance ki state, size, shape ya appearance badalti hai, lekin new substance nahi banta.

Reaction word kyu nahi?

Reaction word usually tab use hota hai jab substances interact karke new substances banate hain. Isliye chemical reaction standard term hai, physical reaction NCERT me common term nahi hai.

Simple Rule

Agar new substance nahi banta to physical change kahen. Agar new substance banta hai to chemical change ya chemical reaction kahen.
